Products Description
WOYE Vineyard Tractors are compact tractor configurations designed for agricultural work between established vine rows and around vineyard trellis systems.
Vineyard operations require tractors to work within relatively fixed row corridors. Tractor width, wheel track, overall height, turning space, ground conditions, traction, and implement compatibility can therefore influence the suitable configuration.
WOYE provides compact and medium-power tractor configurations that can be considered for vineyard cultivation, mowing, spraying, fertilization, vegetation management, transportation, and other compatible implement operations.

Why Vineyard Tractor Configuration Matters
A vineyard has a relatively fixed working structure created by vine rows, trellis posts, wires and trained foliage.
The tractor therefore needs to fit the available working corridor while providing sufficient power and implement compatibility for the intended operations.
The distance between vine rows determines the basic travel corridor.
However, row spacing should not be treated as the same thing as available tractor clearance. Mature foliage, trellis posts, irrigation systems, soil berms and the width of the attached implement can all reduce the practical working space.
The tractor's overall width and wheel track should therefore be checked against the actual vineyard layout.
Wheel track determines the position of the tires within the vine rows.
Adjustable wheel-track configurations can provide more flexibility where the vineyard uses different row spacings or where tire position needs to be matched with the crop corridor.
For example, the 30HP model lists a 1,000–1,200 mm wheel-track range, while the WY704 lists a 1,200–1,360 mm rear track range. These are model-specific specifications rather than universal vineyard requirements.
Vineyard tractors may operate around trellis structures and trained foliage. Overall tractor height can therefore become relevant where overhead wires, support structures or mature canopy create limited clearance.
The tractor should be evaluated together with the actual trellis height and the working height of the implement.
Turning space is particularly important at vineyard headlands.
Wheelbase, steering configuration, wheel track, tires and braking all influence the tractor's maneuverability. The available headland should therefore be considered when evaluating a tractor configuration.
The 35HP orchard configuration lists a 1.08 m turning radius, while the WY704 lists a minimum turning radius of 2.85 ± 0.20 m. These figures apply to their respective configurations and should not be generalized across the Vineyard Tractor range.
Vineyards can include slopes, uneven ground, grass-covered inter-rows and changing soil conditions.
4WD can provide additional traction where required by the operating environment. Several WOYE compact and medium-power configurations use 4WD, while the exact drive configuration depends on the selected model.
Ground clearance should also be considered where the tractor needs to cross uneven inter-row terrain or other ground-level obstacles.
PTO, Hydraulics and Implement Compatibility
Vineyard operations can involve PTO-driven and three-point-mounted implements.
Depending on the operation, these may include equipment for:
- Mowing
- Inter-row cultivation
- Spraying
- Fertilization
- Vegetation management
- Transportation
- Other compatible PTO-driven or three-point-mounted work
The tractor should be matched with the implement's:
- Working width
- Weight
- PTO speed and power requirement
- Hydraulic requirement
- Hitch category
- Operating speed
For example, WOYE's 25HP model provides a 540/720 rpm PTO and one hydraulic output group expandable to two, while the 50HP model provides a Category I three-point linkage, one or two hydraulic output groups and 540/1000 rpm PTO.
Vineyard Applications
Depending on the tractor and implement configuration, WOYE vineyard-compatible tractors can be used for:
- Inter-row mowing
- Cultivation
- Spraying
- Fertilization
- Vegetation management
- Vineyard-floor maintenance
- Transportation and towing
- Other compatible implement operations
The appropriate tractor and implement combination depends on the actual vineyard layout, terrain and equipment specifications.
Matching the Tractor to Your Vineyard
Before selecting a Vineyard Tractor configuration, compare the tractor with the actual vineyard environment:
- Vine-row spacing
- Required tractor width
- Required wheel track
- Trellis and canopy clearance
- Vineyard headland and turning space
- Terrain and slope
- Ground conditions
- Required ground clearance
- PTO requirements
- Hydraulic requirements
- Three-point hitch requirements
- Implement width and weight
These factors should be considered together rather than selecting the tractor by horsepower alone.
